Ceramics

​

In 2015 I decided to continue my education post undergraduate degree to study Creative Arts and Graphic Design, while working full time as a Fit & Technical Designer. My emphasis in the Creative Arts program was with ceramics. As in working with apparel, I was drawn to ceramics for the enjoyment of working with my hands and tactile aspect of this medium. Countless hours were spent to improve my technique and form in both wheel work and hand building to achieve the intended results. Featured here are a few ceramics collections I created using various inspirations or techniques. My Bauhaus collection was shown in Aspen’s “Return to Simplicity” Art Exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus in 2019.

The Creative Arts program gave me the opportunities to expand my sphere of creative thinking. Through art, I was to bring forth a concept and expand the idea into a tangible piece. Through further practice in executing artistic ideation into reality, this grew my design abilities in areas such as fashion and graphics exponentially.
