Strategic Leader & Educator
This page highlights my work as an industry leader—my work beyond individual product execution, emphasizing how I support organizations through leadership, teaching, and systems-building. Included here are examples my experience teaching workshops to future industry leaders, building cross-functional tools, and developing the frameworks, narratives, and onboarding resources that help organizations align around product, culture, and strategy for scalable, long-term impact.
Boston School of Fashion Design
Sustainable Apparel Design & Supply Chain — Course Curriculum
This project represents the curriculum and course materials I developed and teach at the Boston School of Fashion Design, focused on sustainability in apparel through a systems-thinking lens. The course guides students and emerging professionals through the realities of the fashion industry—covering circular design, lifecycle assessment (LCA), biomimicry, business feasibility, and supply chain decision-making—while challenging them to translate sustainability theory into practical, portfolio-ready design strategies. By integrating real-world constraints with creative problem solving, this work reflects my role as an industry leader committed to shaping the next generation of designers and decision-makers to think critically, design responsibly, and build solutions that can scale within commercial fashion systems.
Charles River Apparel:
Internal Product Education &
Onboarding
This project represents the product onboarding program I developed at Charles River Apparel after identifying a critical gap in foundational product knowledge across cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service. Designed as an “Apparel 101” curriculum, the program demystifies how products are designed, engineered, tested, and brought to market—providing non-product teams with the context they need to be effective in their roles. The sessions were intentionally accessible yet rigorous, covering fabrications, construction, fit, performance, sustainability, and the product development lifecycle. Due to its impact, the program was adopted as a standard part of new employee onboarding, with every new hire—from entry-level to VP—meeting with me to build shared product literacy. This work reflects my belief that strong product organizations are built through education, alignment, and a common language, and that elevating understanding across teams directly elevates business performance
Charles River Apparel:
Seasonal Product Training & Brand Storytelling Framework
Building on my reputation for effective product education at Charles River Apparel, I was asked to lead seasonal product training for the sales team and cross-functional partners including marketing and customer service. Rather than limiting the sessions to feature lists and talking points, I elevated the training to focus on the why behind each product—connecting trend context, material choices, construction decisions, fit intent, and sustainability considerations to clear brand differentiation in a crowded marketplace. The presentation was designed not only to educate, but to generate excitement and shared ownership, helping teams feel genuinely connected to what we create and confident in how they speak about it. The deck also serves as a reusable toolkit, ensuring consistent language, positioning, and storytelling across departments, and reinforcing Charles River’s commitment to thoughtful, intentional product—not just more product.
Charles River Apparel:
Sustainability Committee Leadership —
Product Pillar
As Head of Product Sustainability at Charles River Apparel, I lead the Product Pillar of the company’s Sustainability Committee, guiding cross-functional discussions on long-term product strategy, material innovation, circularity, and responsible manufacturing. Through these working sessions, I develop roadmaps, facilitate collaboration across sales, sourcing, marketing, and operations, and translate sustainability ambition into concrete initiatives—such as recycled material expansion, Made-in-America exploration, circular return pathways, and EcoVadis corrective actions. In parallel, I partner closely with other committee chairs on company-wide efforts, including Charles River Apparel’s first CSR report and EcoVadis advancement. This ongoing work reflects my approach to sustainability leadership as a continuous, systems-driven process that aligns people, priorities, and measurable progress.
Charles River Apparel:
First Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report
As Head of Product Sustainability, I led Charles River Apparel’s first-ever Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, bringing together a cross-functional sustainability committee to establish governance, documentation, and shared accountability across the business. I played a central role in shaping the report’s structure and authored all sections related to product sustainability and ethical sourcing, translating operational practices into clear, credible external reporting. This initiative was developed in direct support of improving the company’s EcoVadis performance, providing the evidence, metrics, and narrative required to strengthen our assessment. As a result of this work, Charles River Apparel advanced from an EcoVadis Bronze rating to Silver, reflecting meaningful progress in sustainability strategy, transparency, and execution.
Obermeyer:
New Employee Onboarding & Culture Framework
Developed at a director level, this project represents the company-wide onboarding experience I created for Sport Obermeyer to help new employees quickly understand the brand’s history, values, decision-making philosophy, and cross-functional structure. The program was designed to go beyond functional orientation, emphasizing culture, trust, accountability, and systems-level thinking—so employees could see how their roles connected to the broader organization. Widely used across the company, this onboarding framework supported faster integration, stronger alignment, and a shared understanding of how Obermeyer operates, reflecting my approach to leadership through clarity, storytelling, and scalable organizational design
Obermeyer:
Sustainability Strategy & Brand Framework
This project represents the launch of Sport Obermeyer’s sustainability initiative, developed to align the brand’s outdoor heritage with a clear, long-term vision for responsible growth. Framed as a strategic business imperative rather than a marketing exercise, the work defined sustainability across the full product lifecycle—design, production, distribution, consumer use, and brand culture—while addressing real-world constraints such as cost, margin, and scalability. Presented as a roadmap for the company’s “next 75 years,” the initiative established shared language, priorities, and decision-making frameworks that connected environmental responsibility with product integrity, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. This work reflects my approach to sustainability as a systems-level leadership challenge—one that strengthens brand positioning while enabling meaningful, achievable change.
Obermeyer:
Fit Initiative Seminar & Internal Education
Created early in my tenure at Sport Obermeyer, this presentation was developed to launch and socialize the company’s Fit Initiative by educating internal teams on what “fit” truly means, what Technical Design does, and why it is a critical driver of product quality, performance, and brand differentiation. The seminar translated highly technical concepts—such as fit evaluation, garment balance, grading, and construction—into clear, shared language for design, sales, and cross-functional partners. Presented internally and to sales representatives, this work helped elevate fit as a core brand value and became a key talking point in how Obermeyer communicated product benefits both internally and externally, reflecting my ability to align technical expertise, storytelling, and business impact
Obermeyer:
Size Architecture & Fit Strategy Proposal
Developed as a strategic fit and sizing proposal, this presentation explored the nuanced crossover between teen girls’ and young women’s body shapes to address persistent fit challenges and unlock future growth opportunities. Through competitive analysis, body measurement studies, size-run fittings, and real-world data, I demonstrated that great fit is driven not only by measurements, but by proportional shape—particularly waist-to-hip relationships during adolescence. Presented at the company’s annual all-hands meeting, the proposal recommended the introduction of a Women’s Size 0 to further elevate Obermeyer’s fit leadership while maintaining brand integrity. Thoughtfully blending technical rigor with humor and storytelling to keep a large audience engaged, this work reflects my ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, translate complex insights into clear strategic decisions, and push brands forward through fit innovation
Obermeyer:
Fit-Led Sales Strategy Presentation —
Vail Resorts
Developed as part of Obermeyer’s annual sales presentation to Vail Resorts, this project translated the company’s fit expertise into a compelling commercial narrative for one of its most important wholesale partners. Building on the success of Obermeyer’s Fit Initiative, the presentation clearly articulated how fit standards, pattern discipline, and process excellence directly improved product performance, customer confidence, and sell-through—particularly within the Black Essentials pant program. By connecting technical rigor to business outcomes, this deck helped reinforce Obermeyer’s reputation for fit leadership and supported Vail Resorts’ buy-in to the program, demonstrating my ability to align product integrity, sales storytelling, and strategic customer relationships.
